I thought NVIDIA's Titan's already released a long time before. personally, i wouldn't recommend the titan. the reasons are,
Firstly its based on maxwell and that's old architecture. secondly its not worth that much when there are better cards like the GTX 10 series(1060,1070,1080 based on pascal) which is much more useful for excellent gaming than flushing out big bucks for the titan.for titan's price you can get a 4-way SLI with the GTX1080 or the other 10 series GPUs :D.

Why on earth would people spend $1200 on a graphics card? o_O

You can go on a 4-week holiday for that amount as well lol
ikr xD But still there are Enthusiast gamers
AND do remember that such cards are really needed in order to work with high graphics development softwares for example 3dx max with the nvidia plugin NVIDIA IRAY to create the "render reality" pictures and render the pysx for every single strand of hair using nvidia's hairworks etc for those purposes you need a really powerful card. some times you even need a SLI of this card to work with cuz the pc needs to hold the textures and render it our clearly.
so yeah there are good uses for cards like these other than just playing games ;)

Yea, for work I'd understand indeed, but if you need such a graphics card for your job, you can just declare the costs to your employer;
so then you're still not making the costs yourself, but your company is :D

Because GPU is Maxwell architecture , it doesn't heat up much :) Only 70 degrees Celsius at max... And the fps ? Battlefield 4 - custom settings with Ultra textures, everything else high - 45fps at the average, but why do I bother writing, when you can look yourself ! :) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgjtTo2oyyJLKDwC2Tl51JQ
