so as the title suggest the specs and release date on the rest of the polaris gpu lineup have been fully announced and they seem to be pretty interesting tbh

@Hary if you try to kick Nvidias ass then AMD should try to make better graphic cards. The price is really cheap but thats pretty much it. Yeah, the 1070 costs 300-400€ (don't know how much money that is) but the performance is much better.
Also the benchmarks which @Ahmad posted, made me think more worse about the card then before.
I made experience with AMD once and have to say that I am much more satisfied with Nvidia.
If one day AMD will produce a graphic card that is cheap and also will have a good performance then I will try to switch back to AMD

yeah that's true but NVidia make cards only for money banging purposes.
For example look at the gtx980. Its now completely forgotten and don't start about the 780..its all history. The thing which I hate about NVidia is their attitude when they release new cards. they do make good cards ofc but they leave their old ones behind without giving a sh*t about them. Also they use some trickery to push their customers towards their new ones by giving out shitty drivers for their old gpus.
Hopefully one day AMD will surpass NVidia.

ah let me explain one thing
the gtx 1060 is made to compete with the rx 480 as they are the closest in price
these 2 gpus are expected to be released with 100$ and 150$ price tags which are actually almost half of gtx 1060 and rx 480 so you get the point

for me nvidia is the enthusiast gpu while amd is the current mainstream owner as if we look to these 2 gpus one of them is made to max out 1080p gaming while the other is made to max out esports games i.e: overwatch/league/dota/csgo

i like how exciting this amount of power nvidia brings with their new architecture but being honest amd is bringing the bang for the buck in every department now from vr all the way to cheap games with polaris

Well Nvidia (and maybe AMD, idk) is like Apple, Samsung, Huawaii,... They bring out new stuff every year to keep the customers happy, but nvidia definitly doesn't leave the old cards behind. I had a gtx 470 and they released many Treibers eventhough the 500/600/700 series were released and not shitty ones, more importent ones. They don't forget about the old cards, the release new Treibers as long as possible

yeah? Well then what happened to the promise which NVidia made about the "Full DX12 support to Fermi GPUs" and and I don't even have to start about the marketing BS of Shadowplay.

I'm a GTX780Ti user but not impressed by the support provided by NVidia to their GPUs.

AMD sure is making their cards and products cheap for its customers where as NVidia still brings out mid range priced cards. So it will be interesting to see if AMD really outsmarts NVidia.

First, it is still in Beta, so there can be bugs
And Second, I'm also using Shadowplay and can't complain about it, it works perfectly for me

You misunderstood what I said. It is working fine for me too. What I said was the restrictions of shadow play only for Specific set of GPUs and above. Shadow play works only with gpus above GTX660. And for the older ones there's no support of shadow play. BUT one guy cracked the shadow play long before and made it work with even Fermi GT gpus
Secondly, the DSR. Yes. That's another marketing BS from NVidia. Ofc it does work with GPU with GTX460 and higher(only GTX gpus) but does not support for notebook gpus especially with the Fermi 600GT series and the 700 series GT. DSR is just some thing that doesn't require much of the hardware. for example even a gt650m or GT630 can run dishonoured 1 at max settings 60fps at its basic 1368x768 resolution and if dsr was given to those gpus too then atleast it would have gone up to 1080p with fps locked at 30 minimum. So yeah these are somethings that NVidia could have done better IMO..
