Heyy peepz. I'm looking for a smartphone and i'm expeting to spend till 350€ budget.
I have in mind some ideas.
1st - My current is a Samsung Galaxy S4 mini. So i will have a shilghty preference on keeping on samsung brand.
2nd - I thought firstly that it was a "war" between samsung vs huawei, but xiaomi as appear to get things harder to choose.
3rd - I have no idea about xiaomi brand, as i'm not aware about the differences between Mi, Redmi, or Poco phone models. any help here pls?
4th - I would like to have the 3.5 jack
5th - I came from a small one i would prefer the smallers and to stay on 6" (6.2"max) phone.

    Thank you

Im between samsung, xiaomi and huawei phones.

    - samsung: A40 , S8 , S10e.

    - xiaomi: Mi 8 pro, Mi 9 SE, Mi A3, poco F1.

    - huawei: P20 lite, P20 pro, P30 lite.

Samsung models have all little(/BIIIIG) details that i concider.
Faithfulness: i had a S4 mini since 2015 till last month :D. It is wt i expect from my next phone, a few good years of usage.
Jack 3,5mm: i must have sound connection. I use it a lot.
Decent/Good camera: i love to explore photos. one of the biggest usage i give to smartphones.
Small size: I prefer small phones. The smaller the best. 5,8" seems to be ok by me. i've excluded more than 6,2" phones.

Xiaomi brand doesn't give me mutch ensurance. I only heard about it recently. Not sure if it worsth the risk. Besides that the ones that i prefer (mi9, mi8 pro) don't have jack .

Hauwei is known for the good cameras. the lowest p20 lite have a common camera, not like p20 pro and p30 lite that have leica lens. Only P lite versions got the jack

For this month i can spend 350€, but i expect that joining some salary of august i'll be able to reach 500€ so i can get S10e(the one that got it all that i want).
But i will stay this moth without 4G, wifi or music as mi s4 mini is working 1h/day only :p. not sure if i can handle half a month like that.

    any more advices please?

@LeiTRoSaS Xiaomi and Huawei are pretty much the same in fundamentals and the markets they aim to capture. Generally within the smartphone market seasoned reviewers and users of the devices know that Huawei and Xiaomi along with a couple of other brands are geared towards the budget tier devices even their top-end devices, it's just the blanket that shrouds those brands but will likely disappear in the future.

At the end of the day the Samsung devices in this instance are a no brainer, you should only consider the Huawei and Xiaomi brands if the Samsung devices are outside of your budget or if you have an affinity towards those two latter mentioned brands.

Personally I would go with the S10e, you have the big name of Samsung behind the device which ensures constant updates especially on their flagship tier devices along with a myriad of hardware features that at this point has become irrelevant. Also Samsung's Smart Care warranty ensures that even if you bought the phone once-off (no contract) you will be able to take the device back if the screen breaks or any other non-negligence related damage.

    Huawei for the win.
I got the P20 Lite (which costs less than €350 if I remember correctly) and it's a perfect phone for allround use. I've had a Huawei before this one too, and as far as I'm concerned I'm gonna stick to Huawei phones for my next phone too.

Their phones are just really good quality for a really good price in comparison to other similar phones of different brands.

Yep it is a thing of personal preference but in terms of the technical differences Samsung devices tend to have better build quality, better displays (OLED at higher resolution + higher DPI).

Software is whatever someone prefers, some like Samsung's TouchWiz, others like Huawei's EMUI

P20 is nice, bought P20 pro as gift for a girl and very nice camera and other stuff. I have OP3 and wont change it untill ita smashed and wont run anymore. Also have S8+ which is useless cos its only on O2 UK carrier and i cant unlock it as i dont have money. S8+ have really nice camera, i enjoy using pro mode cos pictures are really nice. OP3 is still good even tho might be old phone now but still fast like its new. Never had problems with it or anything like that. I'll sell you S8+ xD

I will prefer samsung, just cz haven't failed me. But i'm also leaning to huawei P20/P30 as they seem nice.
Wile xiaomi phones aren't those perfect constructions that fits me.
One thing is for sure.... I wanna Jack in it :D

I've bought a Xiaomi Redmi note 7 last week, and it's fking lit. Full hd + display and a double sensor camera (48 mpx + 2 for bokeh) and nothing else to add to a 165 euros phone. I was looking for the Mi A3 but the only Hd display makes it stupid; on the other hand, android one > MIUI, but with some good custom rom MIUI can me an old memories, the display can't be changed. Honestly, at 400 euros the only choice I'd make is the Pixel 3A, a flagship killer from Google.
